Katelyn and Michael’s intimate day is one I’ll never forget. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they said “I do” with the California coast as their backdrop. With the cliffs, ocean air, and overcast sky, their day was one I’ll always remember.
Their entire elopement felt calm, intentional, and genuinely them. Katelyn reflected her style with elements of bold color in her bouquet and jewelry. She wore her color with boots and an elegant dress. Michael complimented her style with a tan suit and bold boutonniere. It was two people fully present, taking in every moment together. Their ceremony wasn’t rushed, yet it was simple and heartfelt. It was filled with emotional moments as they shared their vows. You could also feel the emotion from their friends and family as they watched.
After they shared their vows, we wandered around Cabrillo’s cliffs for portraits. Little pockets of golden light appeared shortly as the sun came out. They laughed, wrapped up in each other, and soaked in the joy of finally being together. There’s something so timeless about photographing a couple in a place where nature feels untouched. Every moment felt peaceful and purposeful.
Katelyn and Michael chose an elopement that reflected their hearts: intentional, meaningful, and focused on what matters most. And being there to witness it all was such an honor.
