Engagement Session at Whitewater Preserve

We spent Christina and Matt’s engagement session exploring the beautiful White Water Preserve. When we were first discussing where to have their engagement session, Christina mentioned that she and Matt aren’t ‘beach people’, so the mountains were definitely more fitting. I’m a huge fan of outdoor, natural engagement sessions, so I was very excited by their decision.

The preserve itself is breathtaking, with different trails, desert landscapes, some greenery here and there, and of course, the grand mountains. Christina and Matt were so easy to capture. They are two of the most down-to-earth people, and they made their session feel intimate and authentic. One of my favorite parts of the day was capturing them wandering and just being present with one another.

Engagement sessions like this are more than just photos. They’re a chance to celebrate the engagement season, get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day, and the opportunity to see how I prompt and pose.

I can’t wait to see these two tie the knot in the fall of 2026. There’s no doubt it’s going to be full of laughter, joy, and plenty of love.
